Arm Patches

The Museum owns about 5,000 arm patches, almost all of which are displayed in Gallery 4 in large frames.  All of the patches relate to the fire service, and all are different.

The patches are framed an displayed as they arrive at the museum.  All are donated by firefighters, fire departments, or visitors to the museum with some connection to the fire service.  They include EMS and state and federal wildland firefighting departments.  We have patches from fire departments in Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Spain, Mexico, Australia, Africa, and New Zealand.

Computer printouts at the patch display allow visitors to locate the patch from their city.  We add about 300 patches each year.
