The Museum has an extensive collection of photographs of fire apparatus from all over the world.  We will be using this group of web pages as a kind of changing exhibit of a selection of the photos in the collection.  Many of these photos were taken by Hall of Flame volunteer Jim Pearson.  Jim is a former volunteer fire department chief from Connecticut who moved to the Phoenix area a few years ago.  One of his hobbies is fire apparatus photography.  These photos were taken by Jim over the past couple of years.  In addition to the great photographs, Jim also is careful to describe the rigs which he is recording.  We do not own any of the rigs displayed in this section, although we sure wish that we did!

Due to the mid-ship engine location these units have been dubbed "Stealth" pumpers by Saulsbury.  The pump is in the rear, with the controls on the right rear side of the compartment.  The crew compartment is well protected from engine noise, but the engine is not well insulated and is rather noisy work around.
