The Museum has an extensive collection of photographs of fire apparatus from
all over the world. We will be using this group of web pages as a kind of
changing exhibit of a selection of the photos in the collection. Many of
these photos were taken by Hall of Flame volunteer Jim Pearson. Jim is a
former volunteer fire department chief from Connecticut who moved to the Phoenix
area a few years ago. One of his hobbies is fire apparatus
photography. These photos were taken by Jim over the past couple of
years. In addition to the great photographs, Jim also is careful to
describe the rigs which he is recording. We do not own any of the rigs
displayed in this section, although we sure wish that we did!

1980 Ford / Saulsbury Heavy Rescue. Truck 7, Windsor, Connecticut FD
This was the first all aluminum rescue body built by Saulsbury. They used
more structural members than usual, and as a consequence the rig is in excellent
shape even after 22 years of service. It has a 15KW generator and 11,000
watts of lighting built into the body and mast. The chassis is a Ford
louisville 9000 with a Caterpillar diesel engine. It has a 20 foot walk-in
